1. Lead Worker
Salary : QAR 2500 + OT
Lead Worker is the qualified worker (In respective discipline) receiving the permit to work and responsible to ensure that all conditions of the permit, agreed to with the Permit Issuer, are being fulfilled at all times throughout the job.
Minimum Qualifications
. Must be able to communicate with all workers in work crew.
. Knowledge of English language (Speak/Read/Write English)
Requirements:
. Lead worker can be anyone of the above work crew
. Personnel assigned as Lead worker to undergo COMPANY Lead worker training requirements as specified.
. The Lead Worker is responsible for conducting a “toolbox talk” with the work crew immediately prior to work commencing to ensure all work crew understand the conditions of the PTW. The Lead Worker must ensure all workers have signed the back of the PTW to indicate participation in the toolbox talk.
. The Lead Worker must understand the plant alarms and ensure all workers know the location of emergency equipment including evacuation routes and assembly points. The Lead Worker must take personal responsibility to locate the nearest emergency equipment and alarm facilities.
. The Lead Worker is responsible for fulfilling the conditions agreed to on the PTW for the duration of the work. The Lead Worker does not have the authority to operate any equipment or process valves belonging to the equipment owner, unless detailed on the PTW
Lead Worker must ensure operator presence before carrying out the first-break in the system, if the job involves opening / loosening up flanges, caps, and plugs and If the requirement for operator presence is stated in the permit.
2. Fire Watch
Salary : QAR 1600 – QAR 2000 + OT
Minimum Qualifications
. Knowledge of English language (Speak/read English & able to communicate)
. Graduate from High School / 3-year technical school or Diploma
Minimum Work Experience
. Minimum five years work experience as a Fire watch in a Petrochemical, Oil and Gas plant.
. Basic Knowledge of types of fire & fire fighting methods.
. Certificate in fire fighting training preferable.
Job Requirements (but not limited to)
. Complete Fire watch training
. Understand and locate the facility Alarms
. Keep extinguishers or fire hoses readily available
. Use portable warning device to alert personnel for any alarm
. Remove/cover flammable and combustible material
. Cover and ensure wetted down adequately
. Ensure non-essential personnel remain outside barricades
. Look for exposed areas and attempt to extinguish fire
. Do not leave area until full inspection for fire
. Monitor the jobsite for at least 30 minutes after job completion
. Do nothing else other than Fire watch Duties for the job
3. Hole Watch
Salary : QAR 1600 – QAR 2000 + OT
Minimum Qualifications
. Knowledge of English language (Speak/read English & able to communicate)
. Graduate from High School / 3-year technical school or Diploma
Job Requirements (but not limited to)
. Must remain outside entry point of the confined space and must not enter the confined space for any reason.
. Must not leave until all entrants have exited or relieved by another Hole Watch. Note: The change in Hole Watch must be communicated to the Permit Issuer and documented in the CSE log sheet
. Must be in continuous, visual, audible (e.g. whistle), mechanical (rope) or radio contact with entrants as discussed and agreed in JSA.
. Ensure gas detector is ON, and listen for alarm.
. Must track personnel entering and leaving a confined space, verify that entrants record their entry/exit on Confined Space Entry Log Sheet
. Must verify Entrant’s training card prior to allowing entry
. Must initiate emergency response when necessary
. Must order entrants to exit the confined space in the event of an emergency, and account for all entrants
. Must notify entrants to exit the confined space in the event of a change in entry conditions
. Must barricade the entry point and hang ‘DO NOT ENTER’ tags at all points of entry when the job is complete or work is stopped for scheduled breaks
