Review and enhance the current corporate governance program and monitor implementation
Stay abreast of local laws and regulations relevant to the company’s activities
Review company’s policies and procedures on regular basis and recommend amendments to enhance them
Ensure that the different activities of the company are in compliance with local laws and regulations
Conduct continuous risk assessment, classify risks into different categories (high, middle and low level) and estimate financial and non-financial impact of various risks
Prepare regular compliance and risk reports to the company’s board and other stakeholders
Carry out the proper control procedures aiming at reducing risks to an acceptable rate
Prepare special register for risks with all the details related thereto, current controls and procedures with the aim of reducing them in addition to any time frame related thereto, and measurement of the outstanding risks
Provide support and training to the staff to build risk awareness within the company
Skills
University degree in Finance, Management, Law, or related areas (a master’s degree is an advantage).
Proficiency in written and spoken English & Arabic
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Meticulous and highly skilled in problem solving
Relevant experience of not less than five years in a financial services company regulated by Kuwait CMA as well as one of relevant professional certifications
Strong communication skills; report writing and presentation skills
