Aldar Academies is currently seeking an outstanding Personal Assistant to Principal for Al Muna Academy commencing Term 3 Academic Year 2020-21 to join our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Due to planned current and future expansion we are looking to add to our current education team supporting our British, US and IB curricula schools.

Al Muna Academy is located in the centre of the city of Abu Dhabi and is a hugely popular school with a very long waiting list to join based in a vibrant community. It is judged an ‘Outstanding’ primary school by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) serving over 700 students from Nursery – Year 6 and following the National Curriculum of England.
The successful candidate will be closely aligned with the core values and ethos of Aldar Academies and Al Muna Academy and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.
Responsibilities
Produce minutes for meetings as requested in an accurate and timely manner.
Produce agendas for meetings in a timely manner.
Attend and support ELT/SLT meetings and any other meetings as directed by the Principal.
Ensure Principals’ calendar in managed efficiently and effectively.
Manage school calendar, contacts, and database information. Schedule appointments and make arrangements for meetings. Schedule and provide support for meetings, including videoconferences.
Filter telephone calls before passing them to the Principal, if it is deemed necessary and make any telephone calls as requested by the Principal and follow up any resultant actions when instructed by Principal.
Perform other general word processing duties. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets.
Comply with all school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality, behaviour and data protection, reporting concerns to the Principal.
To welcome visitors to our school and deal with queries from families, visitors, staff and children.
To maintain staff files and records ND to facilitate the transfer of documents to and from Aldar HQ.
To support the recruitment process including inviting and taking up references for new staff.
To maintain with accuracy the school database including parent portal, engage and MIS.
Supporting the HR officer and admin team with administrative work when needed.
To provide information to and receive information from Department of Education and Knowledge and to deal with associated requests and administration.
Qualifications
Minimum diploma / degree of higher education; or related industry qualification, of graduate level, for the assigned functional area(s).
Minimum experience
5+ Years’ experience in similar role.
