Affinity Global Resources Ltd Hiring for Estimation/Proposal Engineer (Mechanical) – Fluent Arabic at Qatar Full Time

We are seeking to recruit an ESTIMATION/PROPOSAL ENGINEER (MECHANICAL) to join our client’ project based in QATAR and a long-term residential contract.

Experience/Qualifications
BE/B Tech Mechanical Engineer
Proficient in MS Office applications, Excel, Outlook, Power point etc. Conversant with Primavera/MS Project will be an added advantage.
Fluent spoken English
8 to 12 years’ experience in the Oil &gas /Petrochemical Turnaround/ Shutdown , out of which at least 5 to 7 years Field/Site experience in technical and supervisory capacities with 3 to 5 years in estimation/tendering department of a Maintenance company. Should have In-depth technical knowledge of project execution methodology. Preference will be given to those who worked in major Turnarounds and familiar with ASME Coded Repair works in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical & Fertilizer plants in Middle East.
Must be familiar with estimation/ productivity norms for installation of piping, equipment, structural and tankage works. Should have experience in estimating Maintenance / Turnaround / Shutdown / Brown Field Modification / Construction Projects.
Experience/ability to handle major shutdown tenders individually, proficiency in estimating resources (man-hours, equipment, materials, consumables and project management) for Repair / modification / maintenance of Static equipment (Columns, Vessels, Tanks, Exchangers), Valves, piping, and with hands on experience in developing the turnaround cost, shutdown philosophy, resourcing strategy, subcontract Plan, temporary facilities, method statements, resource histograms and Risk analysis (Technical and Commercial) for major turnarounds and minor/Medium EPC projects.
Should possess very good Commercial acumen and Contractual knowledge.
Experience/ability to interpret technical document, Standards and specifications, drawings, scope of work/ estimate resources required to carry out mechanical work at project sites.

Duties/Responsibilities
Lead bid preparation, carry out site survey, co-ordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, subcontracts and other discipline Engineers, sub-contractors, vendors and liaise with client. Attend bid clarification meetings. Responsible to estimate, co-ordinate and complete the bid preparation process prior to the review of the same with the Proposal Manager.
