Responsible for the financial administration of multiple projects of varying sizes for various business lines and groups of project managers. The project accountant will work closely with the operations team over the complete life cycle of a project.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist project manager with the preparation and update of EAC’s
+ Understand the commercial and billing requirements of the projects, ensure project set up accurately reflects proper billing requirements
+ Ensure all incurred cost is reflected accurately and in a timely fashion on the project
+ Monitor project performance and key indicators
+ Support PM as required to understand project performance
+ Perform project analysis and prepare reports upon request for management review
+ Assist Project Manager with project setup and closeout
+ Monitor & analyse revenue to ensure proper revenue recognition methods used, be able to explain key project metrics and lead indicators
+ Support Country Finance Director and Business line finance lead in monthly close activities
+ Work proactively over the month to clear project financial issues
+ Support in ad hoc financial analysis
+ Internal and external audit support, when required
Minimum Requirements
+ 5 years’ work experience
+ Excellent excel skills
+ Experience working with Oracle and project environment preferred
+ Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
+ Strong personality, team player and able to communicate effectively with non-finance people
+ Able to adhere to tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
+ Educated to degree level in Finance / Accounting or equivalent
