To understand the logistical task and devise a strategic, tactical logistics plan in response, to meet the needs of ensuring smooth distribution and delivery of all items. Plan and implement procedures, managing this project in entirety. The project is fast pace and a demanding role, it requires an individual with fresh ideas ready to implement these Develop innovative goals and objectives. To support the Group Director of Procurement and Logistics in the daily running of the Logistics department with a team of 20 plus employees To control that monthly reports are correct, in line with policies and procedures and submitted within the deadline Ensuring a professional collaboration with other departments and third parties Direct, optimise and coordinate full order cycle Manage system/process improvements and initiatives for logistics operations related to local distribution, drayage, logistics and warehouse management (there will be a team in charge of warehouse management, the role is to coordinate with them) which includes creating models, analyzing, and recommending changes to the existing logistics solutions to drive greater efficiencies in service and cost Supervise, coach and train the team on these processes and procedures the logistics of the project Training of store keeper and receiving agent teams, formally documented and evaluation each team member is up to the level of understanding and efficiency the project requires Coordination with the warehousing and freight company with relation to air/ocean transportation Direct communication and updates/reporting to the Operations team, including conduct regular meetings with cluster managers to review locations, and logistics performances and to develop action plans to ensure innovation targets are met Monitor the operational status of deliveries and agreed distribution order Liaise and negotiate with all stakeholders, being suppliers, manufacturers, colleagues and client Budget management Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency with the assistance of the team Directly coordinate with the Asset Management and Inventory Control team Resolve any arising problems or complaints Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets Comply with laws, regulations, GDPR and ISO requirements You will directly report to the Group Director of Procurement & Logistics Your experience and skills include: Used to working in a fast-paced environment needing decisive problem-solving, and the ability to work well under pressure Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines Strong work ethics Completion of financial processes from PO raising through to reconciling of budget lines and completion Highly responsible & reliable A hands-on approach is essential Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders Good knowledge of Logistics Software Systems Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience in leading larger teams of 20 plus members Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
