Dear Sir/ Madam,

I truly believe that I am an ideal candidate for the role of Arabic Teacher at your School as I possess many of the essential and desirable skills mentioned in the job advert.

I have had the opportunity to work for a number of prestigious schools in a number of countries including Tunisia, Oman, and the UAE. This experience has inspired me to apply for this teaching post, where I could share my knowledge and expertise. I am confident that my strengths and experiences be a valuable asset to your school.

First of all, I am an extremely experienced teacher, who is committed to creating engaging lessons to nurture my students’ skills and knowledge, to enable them to participate fully and successfully in a complex world. My professional practice is underpinned by a commitment to constructivism and the conviction that the best learning happens when students are engaged in actively discovering and understanding.

In my current role, I have had the opportunity to teach diverse groups of students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEND), English as a Second Language (SEND) and those who are intellectually gifted. As a result, I have become proficient in planning and implementing creative and differentiated lesson plans, which accommodate a range of student learning styles and needs. The use of computer technologies as a tool for learning has always been at the core of my teaching philosophy, therefore I am competent in the use of ICT and able to successfully integrate it into a classroom program, to explore and implement different frameworks for teaching thinking skills and I had the opportunity to plan specifically for the students’ needs and push each of them to reach their full potential.

On a pastoral level, I have been a Year 7,8 and 9 tutor, tracking their academic progress, meeting with their parents, and teaching them Moral Education. I led school trips in and outside the UAE including an Umrah trip and one to the UK. I also ran after school clubs to help students with their Arabic.

The varieties of teaching experiences I have had thus far have given me a definite understanding and appreciation of different cultures and ethnicities. These experiences have allowed me to learn and explore differentiated teaching strategies, adapt to different curricula, build positive relationships with colleagues, students and parents and continuously reflect and improve upon my teaching practices. My strengths as an educator lay in my ability to motivate and engage students using a variety of teaching methods, strategies and resources to help them to develop the skills to become lifelong learners. My passion for teaching is fuelled by the collaboration of ideas with other professional educators.
