We are seeking a results-driven Intermodal Sales Representative to grow our intermodal freight business by identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with shippers, manufacturers, and freight brokers. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of intermodal transportation, rail and truck networks, pricing strategies, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new intermodal freight opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation.
• Develop customized logistics solutions based on customer requirements.
• Account Management:
• Manage and grow existing accounts by ensuring excellent service, competitive pricing, and proactive communication.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and operations/logistics teams.
• Pricing & Contract Negotiation:
• Prepare, present, and negotiate pricing proposals, bids, and contracts.
• Monitor margins and ensure profitability on intermodal shipments.
• Collaboration & Coordination:
• Work closely with operations and dispatch to ensure on-time pickups, deliveries, and issue resolution.
• Partner with railroads, drayage carriers, and 3PL providers to optimize capacity and service.
• Market Intelligence:
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and equipment availability.
• Provide feedback to leadership on customer needs and service performance.

Qualifications:

• 2–5+ years of experience in intermodal sales, logistics, or transportation sales.
• Strong knowledge of intermodal transportation, including rail and drayage operations.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and TMS platforms.
• Ability to travel as needed (10–30%).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing book of intermodal business or strong industry contacts.
• Experience working with Class I railroads (e.g., BNSF, CSX, Norfolk Southern).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
