Job Summary:

The Project Manager – Mechanical will oversee and manage all mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and infrastructure-related activities. The role ensures all mechanical systems and infrastructure meet the stringent requirements of GPM, safety, and environmental standards. The incumbent will be responsible for strategic planning, execution, and operational management of projects to ensure seamless integration of systems that support pharmaceutical production and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for mechanical, HVAC, and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, QA, Production, Supply Chain) to align mechanical systems with operational requirements.
• Liaise with regulatory team and consultants to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Identify potential risks in project execution and develop mitigation plans.
• Budgeting, monitoring, planning, and providing reports on projects.
• Conduct and schedule meetings for follow ups and preset to senior management.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, utility pipelines, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Monitor the performance of cleanroom HVAC systems to ensure environmental control.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.
• Ensure mechanical systems meet pharmaceutical cleanroom requirements, including ISO standards for air quality.
• Evaluate and select contractors, suppliers, and service providers. Prepare scrutiny reports.
• Ensure contractors adhere to quality standards and project timelines.
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Train staff on the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including design drawings, testing protocols, and operational manuals.
• Prepare and present progress reports, cost analyses, and compliance updates to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.E Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering.
• 8-12 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a project management role in the pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
• Good understanding of HVAC, systems, plumbing, and utility infrastructure in pharmaceutical facilities.
• Proficiency in cleanroom HVAC design and environmental control standards.
• Expertise in piping systems, utility distribution (compressed air, steam, water), and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in project management tools (MS Project).
• Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with quality and timelines.
